46. Shhhhhh Cards.

From the "I wish I had done that" department comes Shhhh Cards from Coudal Partners, a design and advertising agency/studio in Chicago. They don't go around telling everyone how creative they are - they keep themselves busy actually being creative. Kudos. (Have I mentioned that I really, really wish I would have done these?!?) And in case you are a cell-phone offender check out this link about cellular etiquette.

Yes there are cases where this is true, but saying people shouldn't talk on cell phones in crowded places is stupid. Can I talk to my buddy sitting next to me on the bus? Of course. Why wouldn't I be able to call them also while on the bus. You're out in the world, you hear conversations from people in person as well, only now you can't hear the other side. People shouldn't have to listen to annoying ring tones in a resturant, but someone talking to someone in a resturant and someone talking to someone on the phone in a resturant.... I'm not sure there is a difference, unless of course they are being really loud...

I am not sure if you noticed or not - but when people talk on their cell phones in public, then generally do so at a volume two or three times the volume they'd use if the person was sitting next to them. Add that to the fact that if you are having a conversation on a cell phone, you most likely are not very self-aware at that moment and are most likely doing other things that are equally annoying.

And, it could just be me - but there is something really irritating about being forced to listen to half a conversation.

Though, to your point - ringtones perhaps may be the most aggravating aspect of modern life.
